If you're new to hot123 and not sure where to start, the Popular Games section is the perfect place to begin. This list isn't just an editorial pick — it's built on real data: number of active players, total rounds played, and how often players come back within 7 days. Every game here has proven its appeal across Malaysian players of all backgrounds and experience levels.
One of the most common questions from new hot123 players is: "Which game is easiest to win?" The honest answer — no casino game offers consistent wins, as all games use a certified RNG (Random Number Generator) that cannot be manipulated. However, some games have a higher RTP (Return to Player), meaning a larger percentage of bets is returned to players over time. Mahjong Ways 2 with an RTP of 98% and Blackjack with basic strategy at 99.5% RTP are among the best options on hot123.
Mahjong Ways 2 by PG Soft has become a phenomenon among Malaysia's online casino players since its launch. It's far more than a standard slot — the combination of a Mahjong theme deeply familiar to Southeast Asian culture, 4,096-ways mechanics and a 98% RTP makes it near impossible to pass up. For many Malaysian players who grew up with Mahjong, the game carries a unique sense of nostalgia. On hot123, Mahjong Ways 2 consistently records the highest daily active player count, peaking at nearly 5,000 concurrent players on weekend nights.
What makes Mahjong Ways 2 particularly exciting is its tumbling reels mechanic — also known as "Cascade" — where winning symbols disappear after each win and are replaced by new ones falling from above. This can trigger a chain of consecutive wins within a single spin, which is why players often share stories of big wins that started from a relatively small bet. The game's volatility sits in the medium-high range, making it best suited for players with enough of a budget to hold out for the bonus round.
In the Live Casino category, Baccarat Premier by Evolution Gaming is the undisputed champion. Baccarat has a long history in Malaysia — it's a game familiar to land-based casino players who have since moved to online platforms like hot123. Its appeal lies in its simplicity: you just choose whether the Banker or Player will get a card total closer to 9. No complex strategy to memorise — though a few tips can help you play smarter.
Hot123 offers over 20 live baccarat tables running 24 hours a day. What sets hot123 apart from other platforms is its consistently high streaming quality — multi-angle HD cameras ensure every card dealt by the dealer is clearly visible, leaving no doubt about game transparency. The newly introduced Speed Baccarat tables are also gaining popularity, with each round completing in around 27 seconds — more than twice as fast as a standard table.
Progressive jackpot games like Gates of Olympus, Wild Riches Megaways, and Dragon Fortune draw players for one simple reason: the potential for massive wins from small stakes. With a progressive jackpot, a small portion of every bet placed by all players pools together and keeps growing until someone hits it. At hot123, the Gates of Olympus jackpot has climbed past RM500,000 before being won — and it's already building back toward that same figure.
One thing to understand about jackpot slots: the RTP is typically slightly lower than standard slots because a portion of every bet goes into the jackpot pool. That said, the potential payout — which can reach hundreds of thousands of MYR — makes that RTP trade-off worthwhile for players chasing big wins, even with a small minimum bet.
hot123 Tip: When playing progressive jackpot slots, bet at an amount that lets you stay in the game longer. The jackpot can hit at any time — the longer you play with a managed bankroll, the more spins you get through and the better your chances of being there when it drops.

One thing hot123 always emphasizes to new players: don't pick a game just because it's on the popular list. Popularity doesn't necessarily mean it's the right fit for you personally. Many players make the mistake of jumping into a game simply because others are playing it, without considering key factors like volatility, their own budget, and the skill level required.
Mahjong Ways 2 isn't popular because it's "easy to win" — it's popular because of its culturally relevant theme, engaging game mechanics and high RTP. That said, it's a medium-high volatility slot, which means there will be stretches where big wins don't come for a while. If you're on a tight budget and want longer sessions, a low-volatility slot with more consistent RTP may suit you better.
Many hot123 players are most active during festive seasons like Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Hari Raya Aidiladha, Chinese New Year, and Deepavali — and hot123 regularly runs special slot tournaments and bonus promotions to coincide with these occasions. It's a great time to make the most of extra bonus credits and free spins. That said, festive seasons also mean more cash in your pocket — make sure you stick to your set budget and don't get carried away by the festive mood.
Another interesting trend at hot123 Malaysia: a growing number of younger players aged 21–35 are making the switch from slots to Live Casino. The reason? Live Casino offers a much richer social experience — you get a real dealer, live chat interaction, and that genuine "being at the casino" feeling, even if you're actually lounging on your sofa in Shah Alam or Subang Jaya. Speed Baccarat and Infinite Blackjack are the games most commonly picked up by players making this transition.
If you only have 15–20 minutes to play — perhaps during a lunch break or on the MRT in Kuala Lumpur — Dragon Tiger is an excellent choice on hot123. It has the simplest mechanics of any casino game: one card is dealt to Dragon, one to Tiger, and you simply pick which one is higher. Each round wraps up in around 25 seconds, making it perfect for a quick gaming session.
A key tip for Dragon Tiger: avoid the "Tie" bet even though it offers an attractive 8:1 payout. The house edge on the Tie bet in Dragon Tiger exceeds 30% — one of the highest across all casino games. Stick to Dragon or Tiger only, and you'll be playing with a house edge below 4%. hot123 provides a result history board to help you track patterns, though keep in mind that each round is an independent event and is not influenced by previous outcomes.
Responsible Gaming: hot123 encourages all players to play within their financial and time limits. Use the deposit limit, session limit, and self-exclusion features available in your account panel. Gaming should be entertainment — not stress. If you need support, contact Talian Kasih at 15999.
